Focus on the people...

I cant do much to change the world around me...

I vote what I feel is important. I believe the on-demand killing of unborn children is a horrific crime. I also believe that woman should have the right to decide if they want a child or not if they are raped and become pregnant. I'll vote for anyone who feels this way or anywhere close.

But, these are sidebar issues...

Its easy to get off track in this world, with stories about our president lying to us, congressional corruption and sleaze, homosexual marriage, the stupid focus on illegal immigration and so on...its easy to get upset and angry at the world. Its easy to lash out...

But, we have to remember, that us saved people are supposed to be the light of this dying world.

I feel that most of what people see of Christians on TV, or I should say those who call themselves Christians is a constant barrage of what is wrong with people, negativity, Christian-victim garbage, constant hypocrisy and angry rhetoric. This is the fake christianity. Pharisaical Christianity. Just as bad as the "anything goes" super liberal Christianity...

The humbleness and dying to self is completely gone, in its place is mis-directed pride and arrogance. I almost let myself get dragged into that mess....but no more. I highly doubt that Christ is going to judge me based on whether I did enough to stop homosexual marriage, or illegal immigration, or even abortion. He's going to judge me based on whether I upheld his name and followed his command.

I must focus on the people....if someone was to meet me, they'd know in an instant that I was a born-again Christian. I want to pro-claim to everyone that Christ is the only Saviour.....His love is in me..I try my darndest to follow his word everyday. But at the same time, I realize I'm far from perfect and can do NOTHING on my own...

Christ is King and is coming soon....its really all that matters.

The fake Christian.....

I see this person everywhere. TV, radio, books, blogs, everywhere....

How you can usually tell that someone is a fake Media Loving Christian:

Claims to know Jesus, but rarely, talks about Him.

Uses Jesus as some sort of Amulet instead of recognizing that Christ is almighty and everything that happens is in His hands regardless of their actions.

Refuses to treat fellow men and women the same regardless of class, color or creed.

Refuses to state that something is right or wrong, but rather in terms of what race or class the victim or perpetrator is instead.

Highlights the race of the person doing the wrong rather than the fact the person is doing wrong.
Blames it on the system rather the individual person or persons own actions.

Ignoring Scripture that contradicts their statements in order to get a certain warped view across.

And so much more.

Look at some of the great men and women of the Bible. Look at their stories. Right is right, wrong is wrong. There is no hypocrisy, no double standard.

There are so many of these people, caught up in wordly events and politics, refusing to expend that same energy in helping their fellow man, studying God's word, praising God, talking about Christ and helping those in need, what a true follower of Christ does. These people need to wake up! Get back to the Word!

And no, telling someone what to do or what not to do is not the same as actually helping that person.

Christian repsonse to illegal immigration...

I've talked alot with conservatives about the illegal immigration issue.

The problem is that half a million people illegally cross our borders in order to find work in this country, since theirs has no opportunity.

Coming here illegally to find work...does this make them a criminal? A man doing what he has to do to take care of his family, trying to find work. Not killing or stealing, but working in construction, in restaurants or doing horrific jobs us spoiled and elitist Americans wont do. But they are criminals for doing it! Now this is the conservatives' favorite statement. They are criminals because they came here illegally!! Did you know there millions upon millions of people here who have overstayed their visas? No big outrcy over them though, it is selective outrage, one of the worst hypocrisies. A favorite tool of the conservatives.

Another argument.."they are bringing diseases here that were eradicated years ago" Really? I havent heard anything about polio these days. Wait!! Didnt we get vaccinated from those things when we were little chaps? Hmmm...are these scare tactics?

It used to be illegal for a black man and white woman to get married in many states. If they did, they were criminals. Maybe a change in the law is in order? If someone wants to work to provide for their families, they should be allowed to do it.

I think amnesty is in order. Conservatives say amnesty is rewarding those breaking the law. Again, selective outrage. I could give so many examples where this country's judicial system have given petty criminals a break. Even their beloved conservatives.

My opinion is that most people who are against any type of amnesty program are actually racists. Not the violent kind...but still racist. "We cant have too many of these brown folk in this country. "

My idea? Well, of course its not very popular. I think we should make our border secure. The people who are here, put them on a path to citizenship. Stop the exploitation of our fellow humans. Document who is here immediately. You commit a serious crime? Immediate deportation. Easy peezy, yep 'n' easy.

But this wont work. Conservatives cant stand an amnesty program. They permit Bush to lie about our reasons for going to war, but not amnesty for humans. One section doesnt want amnesty because of their own hatred. The other section because they want a steady stream of cheap labor. I honestly think they are both working together. Sadly, it appears money is the root of NOT providing humane treatment.

I'm so glad this isnt my world. I live in this country, but I dont belong here.

But wait here's another conservative argument, "it's not fair to the other people who are waiting in line legally." Of course not! But you know what? Life aint fair, get over it. This is America, we do what we want.

And one last one, "They keep speaking Spanish and won't learn English." True, we can make it so that English is the official language and that is a good idea, they should learn the language of the majority. That's easy to do, but the president wont do it. It's so easy to do, but they won't. Why not? Who knows...........

I recently read a story in our local paper about how a vast majority of these "illegals" are converting to protestantism from catholicism. Wow!!!! From a religion of idolatry to the one and true God. It is this point that the Christian needs to be concerned with.

I love calling the bluff of these self proclaimed conservative christians. They say outrageous blatantly hateful things about people, then when called on it, wrap themselves in the bible and complaining that the "liberal media" attacks them. What a cop out. I'm about as tired of writing this as I am of hearing that argument.

Quit trying to disguise your sin of hate and discrimination.

War against infedility....

Interesting story on ABC News...

A California-based evangelical Christian group is helping soldiers battle the huge war against infedelity.

Apparently there have more than 26,000 divorces among our troops in Iraq. Apparently the long tours are having a great effect.

Also, the apparent adultery going on within the troops there in Iraq is causing this divorce rate.

Made me think, the biggest cause of breakdown of biblical marriage in America is NOT the gay marriage agenda. It is the common disrespect of the foundations of biblical marriage here in America that has caused the vast majority of damage to families here in America.

Men cheating, women cheating...women portrayed only as sex objects. Men portrayed as sexual conquerors, the list goes on and on.

Its sad, but at least its not being ignored. There needs to be a big focus on this problem.

Yet our media, especially conservative media, refuse to acknowledge this. Its so sad. Why? Probably because most of them have cheated, or dont see adultery as anywhere near as bad as gay relations.

Whatever it is, they are BOTH the SAME THING....

I love that He allowed me to be born in America...

I love that He has given me so many things that I don't deserve.

I cannot put into words my thankfulness for His goodness.

How can I show Him I love Him?

By reading and following His word and thats it?

I spend some time commenting on other blogs regarding current issues in society.

I go on conservative and liberal blogs as well as those in the middle.

The main thing going on these days is the illegal immigration issue.

America was built by "illegal immigrants". It started out this way. Then, at some period in time we had to put limits on who came here.

Fast forward to today. The majority of illegals are coming from dirt poor Mexico. Mexico is supremely corrupt. The poor of Mexico cannot get good work in Mexico, so they come here to get jobs and provide for their families.

What is wrong with this? Our government has an open door policy. The law states one thing, the government does another.

What's the Christian to do?

Well, most of these people are not saved. God has opened an opportunity for us Christians here to help and witness to these people coming over.

Yet, once again talking heads and pundits attempt to skew the issues. Some are just race-baiting, some are just wanting to stir the pot. The true colors of some people are being shown.

Your fellow man...you must love your neighbor.

Another thing, illegal immigration is not the same as other criminal activity. Yet, "conservatives" want it to be so.

It is not the same as murder, pedophilia, stealing, lying...etc. Someone is doing what they have to do to survive, not hurting anyone in the process. They are NOT taking the jobs from other people. They are taking the jobs no one else will do because those other people are too greedy. Those other people think they have a right to make a certain amount of money since they are "american".

Oh, how I hate that entitlement mentality.

Get over it people.

It is not our country. We didnt build it. Generations of people BEFORE us did it, not us. We live in relative luxury because of the back-breaking work of poor people who came before us. We have no "rights". We have to do what is right.

If people want to come here and work hard, follow the law and be productive members of society, I say let them in and let them be citizens.

Plus, I love diverse cultures, its what makes America great.

God has blessed us sooo much. Now he's bringing people here for us to tell them about Christ!

Bush wont attack Iran

I have found that Bush refuses to launch any attack against Iran.

Iran is the real hotbed of terrorist activity. They are interfering with Iraq. Their president has openly declared that the holocaust does not exist. What else is there to prove?

Bush wont attach Iran because of Russia and China. They back Iran. They also back any Muslim nation that opposes the US.

Look at the times, read in Ezekiel! King of the north -- Russia. King of the east-- China.

Things are playing out just like the bible predicted.

Christ could come at any time!

I've come to realize that both parties, Republican and Democrat believe in paying for things with money they dont have. They are only a reflection of ourselves.

Just looking at Bush's budget, there is an almost $500 billion dollar deficit BEFORE adding in costs for his misguided Iraq war. Wow....what happened to this "fiscal conservative" stuff? Doesnt exist.

Makes me realize how everything is about money with this president. The Iraq war is about protecting American interests in that area, oil... The love of money is the ROOT of all kinds of evil. This is soooo true...

And its not just Republicans, its democrats too..

We as Americans are all about money. We worship money. If we have more money we feel better.

Look to Christ!

When we look at ourselves....we stumble...

We are sinful failures. Even saved, we look like trash to ourselves.

Thats why we cant look at ourselves. We need to look to Christ and what He has done for us.

We are holy because He is Holy...

We will NEVER live a life without sin. We will NEVER pray enough or read the Bible enough. But we still try to do it because we love Him.

Is it possible to be sinless?

When you become saved, you are forgiven of all sin and given a life through Christ Jesus.

But, you still have a fleshly body and still live in this sinful, dying world.

It is not possible for us NOT to sin ever again.

It IS possible to not practice sin.

Whats the difference?

If you are in a homosexual relationship, if you become saved, that relationship is over.

If you are always cheating on your wife, when you become saved, you quit that immediately.

If you are racist AND/or showing favoritism in any way, when you become saved, you no longer harbor those racist feelings.

If you are on the outs with your father and mother, when you are saved you reconcile or at least try to. To honor your father and mother. No matter what they've done to you.

Being saved doesnt mean you are immune to bad things happening to you. Being saved doesnt mean you arent going to sin. You will sin, you just dont practice sin.

Remember, we are SIN personified, we come into this world sinful and full of sin. The world is under the curse of SIN. Until Christ saves us, everything we do is opposed to the righteousness of God. Christ doesnt save you from the curse of this world until HE comes back.

But what about when bad things happen TO us, what choices do we have?

We are left with HARD questions.

What if a saved woman is married to an unsaved man who physically abuses her? Does she get a divorce? Remember, God HATES divorce. Does she stay with that man no matter what and continously get beaten until she's possible killed? There is nothing about this in Scripture.

In war, innocent people are targeted and killed on purpose. What if the war is justified? We had to drop the atomic bomb on Japan, TWICE. Purposely targetting innocent women and children and babies BOTH times. Remember, God said, "thou shalt not murder". Do we not murder? They attacked us!

What about during Hurricane Katrina, people STOLE food to survive. Saved people stole food. Was their faith gone? God said, thou shalt not steal.

What if you have a loved one on life support but medically brain-dead. Do we continue to pay thousands upon thousands of dollars to keep them on life support? If we WILLINGLY take them off, we have then committed murder. An innocent life, killed and snuffed out.

......and countless other things.

Since sin is in this world, bad things will happen to us. This is why Christ saved us. His blood covers it all. When one is saved, they dont want to sin!

Where is the line?

It is impossible NOT to sin in this world. Nothing we could do no matter how good we act would get us to heaven. Our thoughts, our actions, nothing. Even circumstances arise that warrant whether you sin or not. If this is true, then Christ must deal with the heart and intentions and circumstances. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to review God's word.

Only until Christ comes back and sets up his kingdom for eternity will SIN be gone for good. Then, we wont have any of these arguments to deal with.

Saved people forget where they come from

I've noticed that lots of times, saved, blood-bought people can sometimes forget what life was like before they were saved.

We seem to have an arrogant attitude against those still caught in the nets of sin, unable to escape. We dont always realize, that had it not been for the grace of God, we would still be in the EXACT same boat.

I think about myself. I acknowledged Christ at 13 years old. But I dont think I got really saved until 24. In between those years, I drank, got drunk, played with girls, did everything in the book. Smoked cigarettes, weed, everything...

I think back on those days and think, what if I got a girl pregnant? Or drove drunk and got myself or someone else killed? And thats just the stuff I was probably headed for.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I avoided those horrible situations that trap alot of people.

This is why I HATE when these apparrantly unsaved, so-called "christian" conservatives get on their high horses and start berating unwed mothers, deadbeat dads, drug addicts, etc...while ignoring a HOST of other sins or even the SINS they are committing.

I believe its really racism, sexism, and classism behind alot of these rants. Or, just arrogant "I pulled myself up by own bootstraps" mentality. They fail to realize that had it not been for God's Grace, they would be in the same situation OR WORSE.

NO ONE pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps. God placed you in your prosperous position and allowed you to have all those blessings that YOU don't deserve. And He didnt put you there to get on a high horse and start demeaning other groups of people. He put you there to first give praise to Him who put you there, and then start helping other people, not just with words, but with actions (teaching, giving money, time, everything).

Then I hear the same thing, "this is the land of opportunity, you can get a job." This is true, in some cases. But alot of people CAN'T get a job. Many have mental problems, behavioral problems that preclude them from gaining employment, they need help! Then those who do have jobs, the working poor, work so much they cant even keep up with their kids.

Bad decisions are why alot of people live in poverty in this country. Why do some make it and some dont? God's grace ONLY. God chooses some and doesnt choose others. Bottomline.

Anyone who says, "I worked hard and I earned this on my own!!" is an idolator of themselves. You didnt do anything on your own.

As Christians we're are supposed to help people, tell 'em bout Jesus and live accordingly, thats it.
All three things...all the time.

Helping people isnt just getting on your high horse and telling people what to do. Its getting among the people and helping them with actions. Helping people doesnt mean approving of their lifestyle either.

Think about Paul. He was ALWAYS helping people. He also told them the error of their ways. He was as humble as you could get, and he stressed Jesus accordingly.

And quit classifying problems as Black, White, poor, Asian, rich, etc....

It's all sin, ALL OF IT. None is righteous, NONE.

Could you imagine Paul saying, those Gentiles have problems with having babies out of wedlock. Those Samarians sure do steal alot, I dont like 'em. Jewish people are so racist. Nope, he called a spade a spade, no matter what. He never pulled punches. Sin was sin. He unfailingly preached against it.

You dont see that today so much. Today its, "white people are all racists" "black people commit all the crime." "asians hate blacks" "blacks have the highest AIDs rate" and over and over.

Statistics may prove these statements, but they dont have stats on these things: "husbands committing adultery by looking at porn or actually out cheating on their wives." "Prescription drug addiction" "Corporate, white collar crimes", "racist feelings", "Greed among suburbanites".
"un-tracked rape" and "sexual assaults in the workplace"

Then again, the media does this. The media hates God. I havent seen one saved commentator on TV. Not on CNN, not on Fox News....nowhere....just blind, angry, arrogant people who need to be touched by God right now.

Hey, you're sinning, you need to quit it now. In fact, SIN is what you are, not what you do.

Jesus can save you from your sins RIGHT NOW.

Continously trying to divide the races....

I've noticed a trend that has been increasing in recent years.

Classifying problems as White problems and Black problems, and Hispanic, Asian, etc....

Its probably because of MLK day today that I noticed this on Meet the Press, John McWhorter a black conservative (oh these labels) was lamenting the unwed mothers having babies numbers in the black community. They are so much higher than any other ethnic group. OR the numbers of AIDs cases, the Black male imprisonment rate, the Black murder rate, and on and on.

Why do we do this? Its a clever ploy by the enemy, the devil.

Our media HATES God, so does our government. I'll bet none of those commentaters are saved.
It seems to me that these are sins that are a result of disobedience to God's commandments, namely:

Thou shalt not murder
Thou shalt not commit adultery

among others.

Another thing, they always appear to castigate Black groups as the ones causing all or the majority of problems. Like they are the ones committing all the crime.

However, they refuse to include the numbers of flippant abortions (not including rape and incest) as homicide numbers when it really is a homicide.

Though these are crimes they dont mean that Blacks sin the most. What about adultery? Internet porn, etc....

These groups (liberals and conservatives) refuse to call a spade a spade. All of this stuff is SIN....

There is none righteous, no not one.

All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

If I ever had the chance to be on one of these shows, I'd respond like, "well there is a lot of sin in the world, a lot of lost people." I prescribe that everyone get into their Bibles, pray, and find out about Jesus Immediately. I'd be tarred and feathered.

We need to stop listening to these social commentators who purport to know it all when they really dont.

No such thing as a black problem or white problem, its a SIN problem!

Getting closer to God...

Our pastor talked yesterday about how when you get closer to God, you feel worse about yourself. So true...

When you read more and pray more and time goes by and you get to know God even more, your blemishes and shortcomings become more prevalent.

Look at Titus and Paul, especially Paul. Paul always wrote about how he worked for God, boasted in his sufferings, praises of Christ, etc. But he also wrote how we was the least of the apostles, or the chief of all sinners. He said he was the chief of all sinners right before he was beheaded.

Being in this fleshly, dying body you will always remember how you were before Christ came into your life. I know I do. If you were an alcoholic, an adulterer, homosexual, had an abortion, murdered someone, whatever....It will always be with you UNTIL Christ calls you home.

When you realize how GOOD Christ is, you realize how BAD you are.

Makes me want Christ to come back even sooner, so I can ditch this flesh............until then, we got work to do........

All ya need is Jesus!

Knowing Jesus brings about such a peace.

It lets you realize that this time on this dying mortal world system is coming to a close soon.

Your enternal soul is secure. You're going to heaven when you die.

If Jesus comes before you die, you'll go to be with Him.

There is so much garbage and misinformation being spread about what it means to be successful or what it means to have a fulfilling life. So much misinformation on what needs to be done to solve society's many problems.

One name they (conservatives and liberals) absolutely REFUSE to invoke is the name Jesus. Probably for fear of alienating their base, who knows.

The conservative way to solve poverty:
1.) Get a job
2.) Get married before you have kids
3.) Quit committing crimes.

These may work! But they forget that it means nothing if you havent acknowledged Christ as your savior AND really do something to help others in need.

Lets say you do all these things but dont know Christ. Where do you go when you die? To HELL..

But what if you have mental problems? Maybe you are handicapped. You are an orphan.
Their way says, "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, like we did." Not realizing that God gave them the opportunity to be in the good position they are in to pull others up AND give Jesus ALL the praise for it.

The liberal way to solve poverty:
1.) Go to the government for handouts
2.) Tax the rich
3.) Blame someone else, its not your fault.

So if you are able-bodied and fully capable of holding a job, you still go to the government for handouts. If a man WILL not work, he WILL NOT eat.....thats what Paul said. Work at anything as if working for the Lord, another Paul quotable.

The world isnt fair, God isnt fair. He showers blessings on the just and unjust. He chooses who He wants to choose. God is good, and he is just. All you can do is trust Him. Get to know Him.

Conservatives think all poor people are poor because they wont work or because of bad decisions. Liberals want the poor to blame someone else and have someone else solve their problems. Both are 100 % WRONG.

Before knowing Christ, YOUR WHOLE LIFE was a bad decision.

My way of having a "successful" life

1.) Know Christ NOW
2.) Read and follow the Bible
3.) Treat others the way you want to be treated.
4.) Tell others about Christ.

Everything else flows from this. When you know Christ, you work hard, you help others in need, you tell others about Christ. And then Christ gets ALL the glory!!!!!!!!!

Being poor isnt a curse. There will always be poor people. We as believers are supposed to help them, have compassion on them, and let them know about what Christ did for them!

It is sooooooo easy to know Christ.

You must realize that you are a sinner and NOTHING you do on your own will make God approve of you. Nothing...........

Humble yourself in this way.

Acknowledge that Christ is your saviour. He died for your sins. He died as a sacrifice, once and for all for all sin.

Just like that, you are saved. You may not feel any different, but you are.

Then, do a 180 from sin and keep following His word.

Thats it!

If everyone was saved...

Unless you're talking about Jesus and how He is your savior....we dont have much to discuss!!

I've come to realize that if everyone thought this way, the problems in this world would cease.

This is the way its going to be when Jesus' returns.

I think this way, because I am so SICK of this world, this government. The recent CIA indictments, the Abramoff guilty pleas, the continous lying by Bush and his cronies while the so-called Christian right STILL supports him whole-heartedly...ugghhh.............

The only thing I can do is tell people about Jesus. How He saved me and can save you too!

upcoming MLK holiday

There are alot of preparations for the upcoming MLK holiday here in town for next week and I was amazed at the hoopla.

It makes me think alot about the history of our country and how far we have come.

Martin Luther King, Jr. basically taught the same things that Jesus taught. Love your enemy, treat everyone the way you want to be treated, etc. He was met with the same type of resistance, though not as bad as Jesus. He basically forced America to live up to its Christian ideals. I dont really know if he was a Christian himself, being born again. I have seen evidence that he really didnt believe in Christ's deity, just in his teachings.

I posted earlier how I thought that America was founded to be a Christian nation. I believe that Founding Fathers had every intention to have this nation be Christian, but they refused to allow everyone to be treated equally, a key issue in Christianity.

If we were a Christian nation, there would have been no need for MLK to do what he did.

And we still have government mandated racial preferences today! Quota systems for government contracts, school admissions, etc. We just cant seem to get over it. Now, bear in mind these preferences are nowhere near as exclusive as those notorious Jim Crow laws, but still, they are wrong and need to be abolished.

Race will ALWAYS be a point of contention until Christ sets up his kingdom here.

To me there are bigger issues at hand. The issues of the heart. Abortion, adultery, etc.

The abortion rate in this country is ridiculous. The divorce rate is crazy.

Out of 5 friends I know who got married in the past 3 years, only 1 is still married to that same person. Only 3 years!!

There is no real reverence for God in this country. No fear of his glory. That is a dangerous thing.

Train up a child in the way he should go....

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

I've thought alot about this verse lately and it is really striking home these days as I raise my daughter.

I think christians, for the most part, are being duped into believing certain things are important in life when they really are not. Common misperceptions:

1.) You must make good grades to be successful in life.
2.) You must dress nice and have the best clothes.
3.) You have to be in shape or have that "athletic build" that everyone strives. The younger than you are look.
4.) You must know the right people.

Going back to the first part of this rant, training up a child. Think about training. When you train you are focused on one goal, which is to win. I think about an Olympic athlete. He wants to win the gold. What does he do? He trains daily, running, lifting weights, eating right. He does this continuously, because he wants to win!

This is how we should raise our children to know Christ. Continously stressing the Word of God. Having them study it DAILY, having them memorize the Word. Having only christian music in the house. Turning off the TV. Having quality bible reading time and fellowship with their peers at church at all times possible. This is training.

This is the most important thing in life. Not where you get to college or how good your grades are. Not how popular you are or how much money you have. Its how your relationship is with God, through His son, Jesus. Being dedicated totally to Him.

Thats what really matters.

Erasing Christmas?

There's been alot of talk about the "war on Christmas".

I do believe that there is an ongoing struggle by a select few to take God and/or Jesus out of everything here in America. I also realize this is part of what will happen in the end times.

The reason why so few Christian people stand up to fight this is because the Christian following here in America is so fractured.

But, I've come to believe that there are only a few people here in America who are actually true followers of Jesus.

People who realize money is only a tool to further the kingdom of God.
People who talk to others about Jesus just about any chance they get.
People who HATE sin, and are always fighting against every appearance of it.
Who love Jesus and read and follow the Word of God to the letter.

I believe these are the people who will be taken up with Jesus when He raptures the Church.
As you can probably imagine, very few people fit this description.

The rest or those "left behind", are the half-way Christians who are still greedy, lusting, showing partiality and still in love with this ol' world. It'll be those who shout, "abortion is wrong!" But won't help the beggar standing there on the curb. The real love of Christ is not in these people.
Its like someone who fights against racism, but suggests a friend who is considering abortion to go ahead and get it over with.

I wrote before that I thought this nation was founded to be a Christian nation. It was founded as such, but it is not a Christian nation anymore. We profess the name of Jesus, but dont really do much to follow his teachings. We worship money more than anything.

Only a very very select few people are fighting to keep God in government, schools, etc. And even fewer of those people realize the other sins being committed daily such as lustfulness, greed, racism, partiality, and lying are just as bad.

Then we have those who just pick a few battles and totally ignore everything else. Especially those against gay marriage and abortion. These are still sins, but so is lust, racism, and lying. However these same people are strangely silent on these sins, which are just as bad.

And vice versa.

I was watching a news program about this man who was recently released from prison after being wrongly convicted. He was in prison for 18 years! It was a sad, sad case. Those people who are so tough on crime had absolutely nothing to say. There was even one guy, a supposedly conservative christian, who said, "its better for an innocent to go to jail than to have no one go to jail for such a crime, just to appease the victim and their family." What hogwash........... An innocent man should NEVER go to prison. But, its the world we live in.

Very rarely will you see the same person fighting against abortion or gay marriage also protesting racism or huge "porn spewing" corporations, while still professing the love and peace through that lovely name of Jesus.

Hopefully I can be one of those people.

Support Israel!

This is something that many conservative Christians tend to disagree on and is a dividing issue.

I believe the only reason for America's existence is to support and protect Israel. We are the only nation that really supports them.

Its no coincidence that since America spearheaded the creation of the nation of Israel after World War II, we have had the most tremendous growth and prosperity ever. It still continues today!

People from all over the world want to come here to enjoy this prosperity.

We're the most powerful, most prosperous nation in history.

But, it could all be gone in a second.

I believe that the powers that be dont understand that we must protect and support Israel at all costs. I wrote a few days ago about the fact that Bush is trying to get Israel to give up more land in this "roadmap for peace". Bush's support for Ariel Sharon's forced evacuation coincided with the worst natural disaster this country has ever seen, Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.

I know Israel's leadership is not righteous, its the farthest from it. However, we still must support the country and its people.

I'd pull out of Iraq immediately. Everyone says, if we pull out they win. Not true, we already "won" we took out Saddam. It was based on lies, but at least thats happened. I say we pull out NOW and let other middle eastern countries take over. We cant stay there forever.

I 'd work on making selling pornography over the internet illegal. This is the biggest addiction ever. A multi-billion dollar industry. Its one of America's biggest sins. Free speech? Whatever.

Immediately make non-rape and non-incest abortions a federal crime by executive order.
Let the constitutionalists fight it as much as possible. This accounts for most of the murder in this country, yet no one really cares much.

I'd also do an executive order fining businesses who employ illegal workers $10,000 per worker.
This will stifle the illegal immigration problem.

I'd eliminate the current IRS and introduce a slightly higher national sales tax. I think taxes on just what we buy and sell is enough to run this government and then some.

I'd require Bible proficiency be part of the SAT and/or high school graduation as a federal mandate. There's no such thing as separation of church and state.

I know that this kinda talk will never get me elected. I'm too divisive... :) But if I ever got the chance, its what I'd do.

For someone who professes to be a born-again Christian, this president sure does tell alot of lies.
This stuff is even worse than Clinton!

Top reasons why Bush says we need to win in Iraq:

1. Democracy over there makes us safer here.
Maybe or maybe not, the fact is that the people there are still Muslim.

2. Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, we had to take out Saddam to make us safer here.
This has proven to be false. In fact, it was an outright lie. Furthermore who would think that Saddam Hussein could ever threaten us here in America?
I heard Rumsfeld say to O'reilly the other night that Hussein was shooting at our planes over there and that made us less safe here. Please, we controlled over 2/3rds of their airspace, what do you expect. There was no way he could attack us. He was powerless.

3. We have to win there and stay the course.
What is the course? Is it training the Iraqi forces so they can take over? This has failed before, remember the Vietnam war? Waiting until a democratic government takes over and then leave? Who knows...the president refuses to state this.

4. No attack has happened since 9/11 because of the president's policies.
Wrong, remember the beltway snipers? Terrorist attack, 10 people were killed.
The last two terrorist attacks before 9/11 were caused by American citizens, Eric Rudolph and Timothy McVeigh. The last one before those was in 1993, the first World Trade Center attack.
This is a weak and irrelevant argument.

I can go on and on.

I think the war is a diversion from the real and more difficult problems facing America. The huge deficits, the lack of healthcare for MILLIONS, the rising poverty level, and etc. There is a huge lack of priorities. We have let sinful men overrun this government. They talk a good game, but really arent doing anything to promote real christian values.

Iran's president says, "there was no holocaust"

It recently came out that Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has declared that the Jewish Holocaust was a figment of European imagination.

This is outrageous, and an outrageous comment to have been made! The E.U and U.N. have immediately come out against these comments and have denounced them.

But, what is strange is that no Middle Eastern country has denounced the comments as outrageous. Not even our supposed allies, Saudia Arabia and Kuwait. Even more surprisingly our puppet nation over there, Iraq!

Why is this? Because these are Muslim people.

Remember when Franklin Graham declared that Islam was an evil and violent religion? This is true! Muslim people do not want Israel to exist. No matter how many times people say, "peaceful muslims dont agree with the radical jihadists", this is not true! They secretly do agree.

The muslim people believe that Jerusalem is their holy land. Right now, it is occupied by "infidels" non-muslims. Something so central to their beliefs. Every muslim believes this.

This is why democracy is not the answer for the middle east. Every time I hear Bush say, "we have to spread democracy to fight terror.", I cringe. He's wrong, and he knows it. Bush and his administration have lied about just about everything to get us into this Iraq war.

How can any christian support it? Our leader lied for his own goals. Like David sinned and used war to achieve his sinful and lustful goals, our president has done the same. Looking at every possible angle, I can not come to any other conclusion. People lied to achieve some goal.
Yes, people now to get to vote in an area that was closed to democracy, but it was acheived by lying to the people who sacrificed their lives and their childrens lives for it. That makes it wrong.

The only way to spread democracy is to change the hearts of the people. That is by showing them the good news of Jesus Christ.

By the way, democracy is only the best form of government formed by man, yet is wrife with problems and inequities.

Only when Jesus sets his kingdom up here on this earth will we have the perfect government.

There is one good thing about seeing all this going on, things are coming in to place for the rapture of the Church.

Is the real fight against terrorism?

I believe that we need to fight terrorism in all of its forms. However, I think in the overall scheme of things, terrorism IN AMERICA pales in comparison to the other problems it is facing.

9/11 was the worst act of terrorism on American soil. Those terrorists killed about 3000 people.

But, more than 3000 innocent people are murdered every month in America. Whether it be drive-by shootings, abortion, whatever. There really is no national outcry over this type of stuff anymore.

The media portrays our fights today over illegal immigration and Islamic terrorists. But, they arent the real problem facing america. Millions are being decieved!

I believe we need to fight the real culprit and throw our resources behind the real fight, the fight against sin.

For example, do a comparison on the amount of money spent to fight terrorism versus the amount spent to fight companies putting out obscene media.

The porn industry is a huge percentage of the profits of major corporations. Its sickening, but no surprise. It's a telling story of America today.

Can someone tell me the difference between watching porn and using illegal drugs to get high? Really isnt one is there? Yet both should be illegal.

Then there's the fight against saying the name of Jesus. Notice Walter B. Jones, a fine congressman from our state trying to get Pres. Bush to sign an executive order letting Army Chaplains invoke the name of our Saviour. Did you know that they cant do invoke Jesus' name? This is crazy, yet rarely reported on.

It recently came out that our president approved secret spying on American's communicating with people overseas. I have no problem with this, but has he done anything similar to try and overturn Roe vs. Wade? What about that Marriage Amendment we heard so much about last year? I would love to see something come out about Bush secretly trying to get the Ten Commandments posted again at that Alabama courthouse or maybe figuring out ways to make selling porn illegal, similar to how selling illegal drugs are illegal.

He wont do it though. No one is stepping up to do that.

I wish for the life of me that this supposedly Born-Again Christian President of ours would get on national television and either pray for this country or have someone pray for us in the one and only name of Jesus. Pray for repentance and guidance and then start working towards making this country uphold the Word of God again.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. "

Bush must return to God!

President Bush was hailed by many of TV's Christian personalities, such as Hannity, Falwell, Robertson and the like as the true Christian man we want to lead this country. Why? Because he was anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage. Thats pretty much it. Notice that Bush has not done much to combat abortion or gay marriage since those statements in the 2004 election. Bush appears to have done more to combat terrorism than uphold the Word of God.

I have never considered Bush to be a christian. He declares that Jesus is his favorite philospher and his story of being born again is actually false. More on that another day.

I believe that God puts men in the positions of power all over this earth. His divine selection chose Bush over Gore and Kerry. However, Bush either doesnt realize this or has forgetten his place.

I write this because Bush is planning to have Israel give up alot of its land to the Palestinian people in order to promote peace. I suggest you do some research on the roadmap to peace. This is something that isnt reported much lately as we are fighting over the Iraq war and other domestic issues.

Our pastor came back from a trip to Israel recently to tell us what alot of the Messianic Jews are saying about Bush these days. If you dont know, Messianic Jews are jews who believe in Christ yet still practice Jewish custom.

One of the elders of this Messianic Jew congregation there told our pastor that when the forced eviction of thousands of jews from their homeland was going on and actually when it was approved by Ariel Sharon and supported by Bush, Bush's major problems began. During the last month of the forced eviction is when Hurricane Katrina stuck us here. Bush's numbers took a dive, the CIA leak produced an indictment and Bush's credibility has been trashed.

America exists for two reasons.

One, to preach the word of God throughout the world.
Two, to protect the nation of Israel.

Bush, as leader of this country, is faltering on both. Its no coincidence that his presidency has taken a turn for the worse. If this roadmap to peace goes through, God will raise his hand of protection from this nation.

I suggest everyone go to prayer today and tonight and pray that Bush remembers why he is president!

False prophets and teachers...

Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, Frederick K.C. Price, John Hagee, Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland.....the list goes on and on...

These people are huge TV evangelists with enormous followings and astounding wealth. They are also "Word of Faith" teachers. There is so much craziness being taught by these guys I cant get through all of it here.

Word of Faith says that faith is a force. You declare what you want out loud to God and he gives it to you. They preach that being poor is a sin. You sow seeds of faith with money to have them grow into blessings. They preach prosperity is something that comes to those who are faithful. I guess all those poor Christians in India and Africa are just full of sins....how crazy is this?

The Word clearly states we should not desire to be rich. Money should only be a tool for believers. We use money to further the kingdom of God. It all belongs to God anyway. Now, there is nothing wrong with being rich, but pursuing riches can cause and has caused many to sin. Read 1 Timothy 6:6-11.

Jesus didnt die for us so that we could have alot of money or things. He died so that we could be reconciled to the Father!

Our comfort should never come from knowing that we have enough money in the bank. It should only come from knowing that Jesus has saved us!

I know people who have prayed and prayed and prayed and fasted for something and it didnt happen. They were people who are unquestionably saved and walking in faith. Yet, things didnt happen the way they wanted it to happen. Even still, they continued to praise the Lord.

It wasnt God's will for certain things to go the way we wanted it to go. Yet, God still wants us to ask Him. Wow.....

Jesus is coming soon and I cannot wait. Seeing the sickness of this world makes me yearn to see Jesus coming in the clouds. Still, we have work to do while we are here.

Our pastor once said that prayer conditions us to the will of God. The will of God is already established, yet God wants us to pray to Him. Prayer changes nothing, because God has already ordered everything in His perfect way. Yet, God commands us to pray for His will to be done.

I just dont understand everything and I wont! I'll just do what God tells me....

Flee from the appearance of sin!

Sin is everywhere in our world today, especially sexual immorality.

Sexual immorality is any sexual act outside the bounds of biblical marriage, which is between one man and one woman.

This includes homosexual activity, heterosexual sex outside of marriage, lusting, looking at porn on the TV or internet, and a host of others.

You cant watch much TV today without seeing sex being displayed every 5 mins or so.

Many many men have been brought down by this sin, including me!

I suggest taking drastic measures to avoid this sin. Throw out computers, TV, anything that causes you to sin in this way.

Didnt Jesus say, "if your eye offends you gouge it out?" It is better to go to heaven with one eye than it is to go to hell with two. Hell is so bad that it is best to take DRASTIC measures in this life to avoid sin than to go to hell in the life to come.

It is better to avoid than to resist. Avoid situations where you might be prone to sin.

Like me for instance, I dont go to clubs or bars ever. I never meet alone with any un-related women. I keep my computer time to a minimum. I watch basically sports and the food channel.. :). I keep myself busy working out, working on my business and watching my beautiful daughter grow up. I read and read and read the bible and am mostly on the computer talking and writing about Jesus. I pray all the time. Its the only way for me to stay away from sin as much as possible, at least for me it is. Its the grace of God.

Jesus can deliver anyone from the bonds of sin. He delivered me! He can deliver you!

Vote Christian? Please.........

I've seen alot of this Vote Christian junk being talked about everywhere. If we can somehow vote the right people in office things will change for the better.

News Flash, things are supposed to get worse. Why? Because Jesus said they would.

Jesus can come to get his Church at any time now. Once that happens, the tribulation will fall on this earth. The worst of times this world has ever seen will be upon it.

So are christians not supposed to vote or do anything in this world? Of course they should! We are in this world but not of it. Our number one priority should be making sure people hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making sure He is glorified in everything we do. On the job, working out, at a get-together, whatever.

Never deny the name of Jesus. I see alot of people saying "Jesus is my saviour, but you may have your own beliefs." Or, "good people can get to heaven too."

Or get this one, if you are a conservative republican, you're christian too. If you're liberal, you're not a christian. OOh, Jesus was a liberal, nope he was a conservative.

What a bunch of crap.

Jesus was neither. Jesus was and is the creator of the universe. He came down willingly as a fleshly man and allowed sinful men to kill Him. After 3 days He brought back His spirit to Himself to rise from the dead. All things were made by Him and through Him. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Him.
He is the root of David, the Lion of tribe of Judah, Alpha and Omega, I can go on and on.

We need to stop trying to put Him in our little crappy labels and give Him the praise He deserves.

I'll tell you what I think vote christian means. Voting someone into office who will uphold and praise the name of Jesus ONLY, and enact legislation and other things accordingly. I havent ever seen anyone willing to do BOTH. I still vote, but pretty much its voting the lesser of two evils.

Since I know that will never happen, I worry about what I can do. Obeying and reading God's word, praying incessantly, fleeing from sin, going to church, tithing, helping people in need, telling others about Jesus every chance I get and always upholding the name of Jesus in everything I do.

Its an ongoing battle until He calls me home or comes to get to the Church.

Catholic church?

I am not a fan of the catholic church. To me, its idolatry. There is no man on earth who is without sin, yet they say the pope is infallible. They pray to Mary, Jesus' earthly mother.

They are against marriage because they say the clergy cannot marry. They require a middle-man, a priest, for you to talk to God. They have alot of rituals and legalistic programs that are not based at all in scripture.

Yet, millions of people throughout the world are in bondage to this religion.

Even our so-called Christian leaders such as Jerry Falwell, James Dobson and Pat Robertson praise Catholics and the Pope incessantly, refusing to acknowledge the outright defiance of Scripture. Why? Because Catholics are also against abortion and homosexuality. And they acknowledge that Jesus exists. Please.............

Remember the Pope John Paul II's funeral? That was ridiculous. I cant explain the rubbish being spewed by religious leaders in this country.

If any Catholics are reading this blog, please read this further.

Jesus is all you need! No middle man! Repent of your sinful life and turn to the one and only Savior! Then, do a 180 from sin...flee every appearance of it. And help others as much as you can while telling the good news of Christ.

Abortion views

Abortion is wrong, in most cases.....

If a woman is having a child and decides that because she can't afford it, doesn't really want it, or finds out that it is going to have a handicap, she then wants an abortion. This is wrong.

If a woman is having a child because she was raped or by incest, this is permissable.

There should never really be a case where a woman needs to have an abortion, if the world was perfect.

I dont buy the medical emergency argument. Our medical technology is so advanced, I'm sure there is a way to bring the child into this world one way or another.

My scriptural justification? Comes from Proverbs of the seven things God hates.
Proverbs 6:16-19. Look at "hands that shed innocent blood". This includes killing someone who had nothing do with a crime, abortion and all kinds of unjustified murder.

I think having an abortion stays with you for life. It is a scar on you for the rest of life here on earth.

Jesus forgives this sin though. God will forget it if you confess and truly repent.

America's Christian beginnings

When America was founded, the Bible was used extensively for the writing of the Constitution. This is something that is not taught much anywhere in public schools. It was evident that our founding fathers believed in God through their many writings.

There is no such thing as "separation of church and state" The 1st amendment of the Constitution says that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof. This was done to make sure that the government wasnt run by one denomination of Christianity like in England. Christianity was to be the basis of all law in the country. The founding fathers fully intended this country to be a Christian nation!

States could even do what they wanted. State government could make a denomination the main denomination of that particular state. I just became aware that our North Carolina law stated that the Bible was to be taught in all classrooms!

The founding fathers made a fatal error however. They intentionally left out Blacks, native Americans and women from enjoying the same freedoms. The great original sin of America was allowing slavery to continue. Most of the founding fathers owned slaves. It was the height of hypocrisy. The South wanted slavery to remain as a condition of joining the Union. Remember what Jesus said about the love of money leading to all kinds of evil?

Slavery was free forced labor. The slaveholders's profits didnt have to pay for their wages. It meant outrageous profits. This love of money was the root of the evil of ripping families apart. Slaves weren't allowed to learn to read the word of God. They were forced to be second class citizens. These are the evils of slavery.

The controversy and fighting over slavery led to the Civil war, which killed the most Americans ever in a war. After the civil war and reconstruction, Jim Crow laws and Black Codes abounded. Blacks couldnt even sit in the same places as white in most churches. The Bible even called out this exact sin in the book of James and it was ignored.

The founding fathers, though they did great and amazing things, failed to extend the same freedoms to worship and enjoy America to anyone other than white men. Worse than that, allowing this institution of slavery to continue was far worse.

The far left and liberals helped to bring about the changes needed to get rid of this institution and its evils. With the abolishing of slavery and other discriminatory tactics, the abolishment of all things with God in them came also. The posting of the ten commandments was challenged along with prayer in schools, at public gatherings involving government officials and elsewhere. Abortion was legalized.

The problem with schools today? They took God out and put everything else in. I say put God back in! Allow prayer in school. Post the ten commandments. Make a Bible class mandatory for high school graduation.

Imagine if the founding fathers made the constitution to originally ban slavery in all its forms and allowed everyone to vote AND kept the same Biblical Christian basis intact? There would be no civil war, no black codes, no fighting today over affirmative action and quotas. It would not be perfect, but I bet it'd be much much better.

What would America have been like?

Times are tell-tale........wars and rumours of wars, families in crisis. Unconscionable murder. Sexual immorality is pervasive. Israel has been renewed. All these things have to come to pass which means Jesus could return at any time.What matters more in life than what you do after this life? Absolutely nothing. Think about it, eternity is forever and there is no end. Our lives are nothing but a little mist.Its not about feelings, its about knowing and believing that Jesus died for your sins! Yes, we are all sinners, all have fallen short of the glory of God. Without Jesus' sacrifice there is no hope.If you are not saved, you should really consider it. Confess your sins to God, realize that you are nothing without Him. Believe that His Son, Jesus died for you and in your place on that cross. Once you believe this, you are SAVED!It doesnt matter what you have done, every sin is forgiven because of Jesus' sacrifice. Every sin, no matter what you did or thought.Remember this.Once you are saved, commit to obeying Him. Read the Bible. Pray all the time. Do a 180 from sin! Flee it! Flee every appearance of sin. Give to your church, help people in need and continue to grow in Christ.And then tell someone else about Him.
